|
|
| Hi. My cousin got married in Las Vegas last week and me and my family couldn't afford to go. Anyway, is a $100 gift card from Olive Garden and 2 of our homemade jams good gifts to give her and her new hubby? She lives in Virginia so I know the jam wouldn't melt.Yes, they have several Olive Gardens in their area. |

| I think the gift card and homemade jams would be a great wedding gift. I would suggest, however, before actually getting a gift card from the Olive Garden that you make sure there is one nearby where your cousin and her new husband live and that it is a place that they enjoy. |

| Yes, but not from the Olive Garden. Can you find out where they registered? That would be a better choice. If you cannot find out that information then maybe from JC Penny, Macy's or a national store chain (but not Wal-Mart, K-Mart) To be honest I have never found dining cards to be very personable. |

i would have loved to got that for my wedding gift! yes, i think it's a wonderful idea. it puts a really nice personal touch to it with the homemade jams too! you could even go so far as putting the packaging in a special way for them as well. i think it's a wonderful idea.. you could go a step farther by taking say a paper bag, and crunching it all up to make it look really old, and wrap up the jam jars in that with a piece of twine for an old country look, it would be adorable, and it's inexpensive too! hope this was helpful to you |

| yes ; sounds perfect ; you can always use a night out as Mr. & Mrs.; you could also make a little breakfast basket; put in two nice cloth napkins, a candle, the jam, muffin mix and two odd but nice small plates ; you can buy odd end plates at discount store or flea market etc. |

| I think the gift card is a fine idea. Make sure they have olive garden in the area though... that would suck if they didnt. If you dont want to do olive garden... find out if they are registered and get the gift certificate from there... allow them to purchase the things they want that they didnt nessicarily get from other guest. |

| Certainly! Who doesn't love Olive Garden? It is a nice change from a check or cash (makes it seem more personal you know?) The jams would add a nice touch as well...got for it! |

| Yes, great idea! I've given a gift card as a wedding present before. Personally I would give a card to a store rather than a restaurant, so you may want to consider that ($100 will go much further at Sears or whatever than it will just at the Olive Garden). But that's just my preference. |

| It only cost $25 for two people to eat at the Olive Garden. $100 seems like too much. I would give them the jams and a gift card to a place like Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target or Macy's. |

| Actually a check for 100 would be better then the gift card. Think of what they could use it for don't forget they are most likely low on funds because they just got married. But yes 100 dollars and 2 homemade Jams is a wonderful gift and it is the thought that counts |
