I know it sounds kindergarten, but if you show her that you still care like you did then, it'll mean a lot more to her. You could frame it, so she won't have to take time and look for a frame herself. If she remarks about something she sees on TV, or talks about something she saw at the store, write it down so you don't forget. I do that all through the year and keep my notes in a shoebox. People are shocked but more than that, they are so happy that I actually paid attention to them. Try it!
