I am ending my internship soon & I would like to present my supervisors a little gift for being such a great help to me. Both of them are French and they love wine. So I thought of buying them one as a farewell gift. However, I don't know what type of wine should I buy. Any help?

What is your budget?I would normally walk around the wine shop and pick up some medal winners (2nd or 3rd liner) forget about gran cru classe too expensive. Haut-Medoc appelation wine is reasonably drinkable and should be at a very reasonable price.or if you have a high budget you can pick up bottles from boutique vineyard in paulliac..If they are not so patriotic you might want to pick up a bottle of Taylor's Cabernet sau or shiraz both are very good wine(Australian)

You can't go wrong with Champagne. The real stuff. If you know more about thier tastes, you can get a bit more creative.

Stay away from Chateau Neuf Du Pape - if they are French any of the CNDP outside of France...well, its the stuff they won't drink themselves.Go for a decent bordeaux about 5 years old and they'll be happy. Suggest you include a pot of tapoenade and something bready as well to make a nice gift pack. There is also a type of French cider they drink in Provence - look it up on the internet, that would be a lovely surprise for them.
