Well, it depends on the girl. Some girls may prefer a guy to go all out and buy them some expensive gift. But a homemade gift is always nicer. It shows he put some time and effort into it. Any guy can walk into a store, grab the nearest scarf or whatever, and be done in 2 minutes. Unfortunately most guys are like that. I'd be touched if a guy presented me with a homemade friendship bracelet.

I think the homemade bracelet is a better choice. Get a nice little box and put a little thought in wrapping it up and have a wonderful holiday.

I think a homemade friendship bracelet has too much potentional for confusing your relationship, because she might think it means more, or something different, than you tell her it means. And, if you'd expect her to wear it all the time, she won't, unless you're her boyfriend, and even then, it would depend on her age.If it's a very nice scarf, and matches the coat she regularly wears, then maybe. But, my personal opinion is that there are far too many scarves given at Christmas, and original gifts are better. This year, I'm thinking crystal flower vases. Crystal varies in quality, so you could find something nice to match your budget. You also can't go wrong with a classy (not trashy) pair of earrings, if she's got pierced ears. Just some ideas.
