neither the koran nor the bible provide any credible proof that he ever existed. and we're here to ask and answer questions, not write novel-length rants.

I think you should summarize that book you pasted if you really want people to care. I read only the actual question you posted. Islam views Jesus as a prophet just like it views Mohammed. They give more weight to Mohammed because he was the last prophet.

Islam pretends to respect Jesus while editing out his most important message:That we need to treat all people with love and respect, even our enemies,That getting revenge is a sin against God,That we need to treat other people as we would like to be treated outselves. These principles go against everything preached from Muslim pulpits every week.

Wow, did you leave room for an answer? I'll make this short. As what I was told yesterday they see Jesus as a prophet, but they do not believe he was God. Jesus was born, he ate, drank, etc.God has no need to drink, eat, or be born, so they do believe if you view Jesus as God you will burn in hell because to them that is setting up a false god. That is what I was told, and curiously enough that is what I believe myself as a christian, and also it was what I was taught as a child.FYI: I don't judge, without knowing first, and if you actually knew me I would be insulted that you would think that. It seems to me that you have already casted judgement yourself.

Islam views Jesus as the prophet of god. Unlike the christians we do not beilieve that Jesus is the son of god. And Unlike the Jews we dont beilieve that there is no Jesus. What we beilieve is that Jesus was born from the virgin mary and he is a messenger and slave of god. Muslims do not beilieve in the "trinity". We beilieve that god (as it states in chapter 112 of the quran) has no son, no father, no mother.

Hi, Treasure:You answered your own question, but may I observe:1: The Quran says no one is a true Muslim unless they believe in the Prophets, including Moses and the Old Testament, BUT THEY DON'T READ IT.2) Yes, they believe Jesus is the Prophet, but not our Creator/God, the one who walked in Eden, who said He is I AM, ect. And they don't follow His teachings either.3) if a Christian believes Jesus is God, the divine son of Mary, they they loose their "favored status" and must be treated as an infidel. For Christians who don't convert to Islam, they must pay a tax (that is hardly enforcable today).4). Infidels must convert to Islam or be enslaved and if they resist, then killed.5) The Bible they profess to revere actually foretold the rise of Islam and their leader is called DESTROYER in two languages (Revelation NINE:ELEVEN).6) You can read their ultimate destruction as predicted in the Bible. It is posted at www.revelado.org/islam.htmShalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua

...What ? (The Koran were the "rants" of a man who could not read or write)... a moon-god worshiper of Arabia... a false prophet. The promise of God...YHVH, was given to Abraham and the children of the Hebrew Nations... not Ishmael; who with Hagar, abandon the faith and went out on their own... The work of God...(YHVH) on Earth was completed at The Cross, when Yeshua said..."It is finished".(you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free.)Shalom....

I read all of it.You have missed a VERY important point in your writing. Jesus DID claim His diety. That's why He got crucified. The Jewish belief (and it makes sense) is that if someone is really a prophet, they should NEVER be in error. Otherwise they are delivering a false message from Satan, and should be put to death. They were waiting for a Messiah who would be militarily or politically stong, and free them from their enemies (physical, human enemies). Jesus came as a meek Messiah, to individually free people from sin - thus bringing them (individually) back into a relationship with God. A relationship which had been severed by Adam and Eve.Once a prophet claims to be God, only one of three possibilities exist, and only two possible responses are appropriate. He is (1) God, as He claims. (2) A crazy man. or (3) A liar.If He is God, then accept Him as God.If He's a crazy man, then reject Him as God, but also reject Him as a prophet. If He's a liar, put Him to death.Christians believe Him, and accept Him as God in the flesh - you seem to understand the concept of the trinity, so I won't go into it.Jews rejected Him as someone dangerous to the people - and responded accord to their law. What I don't get is the Muslims' response. You claim to accept Him as a great prophet, but pick and chose from what He taught. That is very dangerous, and leads to a false religion that does not lead to God.Lastly, the Counselor that Jesus sends to His followers is the Holy Spirit - the other part of the trinity, which makes up God.May God bless your searching with the truth.
