How much should we spend on a gift for a 17 year old girl that already has a child???? Do you think it's mean if we just buy her some gym shoes that she needs. Then buy toys and stuff for our grandson. I don't want to exclude her completely, but I feel like now that she has a child, we should focus more on the grandchild. BTW he's a little over a year old if if makes a difference.

The best thing you can do is buy her a gift card and let her decide how she is going to spend it.

Buy her a gift of something that you know she needs and will be useful to her and get a few toys n stuff for your grandson. she will probably enjoy playing with the toys with her son more than anything.

no you should buy her the same amount of gifts as you usually would or as you buy your other children. shes still only seventeen. it was a mistake that she had a kid. it doesnt mean shes still not your kid. so she should still be treated the same.

This is a personal judgement call for you. Is she living at home, or on her own? If on her own, definitely buy her one or two things she needs or asks for, and of course spoil your grandchild. If she is mature, she will appreciate that you got her something she really needs, and that you are taking the strain off of her to provide her son with awesome toys and other gifts.

17 year old girl? Is this girl not your daughter and not your grandchild? If not, i'm not sure what the dynamic is here. Gym shoes sounds like an ok gift except with shoes people really need to try them on to make sure they fit well, especially for gym use. 17 years old and with a child, find something to make her feel pretty, maybe get her a manicure / pedicure or something. That's probably less expensive than shoes if money is an issue.

besides the shoes you could by her stuff that she would need and have to buy for her son like clothes and other things and that way the present would be for both of them but remember she still your daughter and she still a teenager and you could get her a little more even if she made a mistake, we all make mistakes but I can see how you would want to by alot of stuff for your Grandson so maybe spend more, money on her but a little more on her son

I think she could probably use something for the baby so that life may be slightly easier on her but i think you should get her something for herself as well because life is most likely pretty hard for her right now she may need some "her" time.
