I am a small business owner who distributes products andmy best customer which represents about 50% of my total business asked me for some sort of contribution for their Christmas Party. I plan on getting about 4 gift cards each worth $50 from a decent restaurant. They will randomly give these out to employees at their companies Christmas Party.I plan on giving each of the 4 gift cards in a 4 plain white envelopes. Should I include my business card in each envelope as well along with the gift card?Should I also give a seperate gift to some of the managers who treat me good and continue to trust me and buy lots of products from me? They are really good people.Any help would be appreciated.

You should not include your business card inside each of the gift card envelopes. You should include your business card in the large envelope you send them all in. Also, you should give a seperate gift to the managers, because they are your clients, and Christmastime is a great time to show appreciation.

I think you should, let them know who to thank when they go to your place of work! And if you can afford to hand out separate gifts to managers then do it! You have the right attitude, with in your means, be generous!

I don't think you should include a business card with each gift card. However, after you have sent the cards, follow up with your contact at the company to make sure they got there. This will make sure they remember your participation. That's the person you're trying to impress. As for the separate gifts, this is a fine idea. HOWEVER, make sure to check their company policy on this. Some companies have very strict policies about their employees accepting gifts.

For your second question first. Yes you should give a separate gift to the people you directly deal with. The thing you need to think about here is that you probably should give them a bigger gift. So if you are giving $50 gift cards for their party, you proabably want to give them a $100 gift card individually. The thing you do not want to do is give a $50 gift card for the party but only give them a $25 card. Even though it is a gift they could be hurt by the fact that you gave them less. For the first part. I would not recommend just a business card. To a lot of people this would seem like you are advertising and the "gift" was not really sincere. But, if you have company Christmas cards, there is nothing wrong with putting the gift card in these. If you don't have company Christmas cards you can get a few regular Christmas cards and just write your company name in the card. Also, the gift cards have a place that says From/To. I don't see anything wrong with you writing your company name in the FROM Section for the 4 that you are giving away.
