I am a small business owner who distributes products andmy best customer which represents about 50% of my total business asked me for some sort of contribution for their Christmas Party. I plan on getting about 4 gift cards each worth $50 from a decent restaurant. They will randomly give these out to employees at their companies Christmas Party.I plan on giving each of the 4 gift cards in a 4 plain white envelopes. Should I include my business card in each envelope as well along with the gift card?Should I also give a seperate gift to some of the managers who treat me good and continue to trust me and buy lots of products from me? They are really good people.Any help would be appreciated.

It couldn't hurt to put in a business card. Anything that will help get your name out there, and in a positive way.As far as gifts to your regular customers/managers, I would definitely do that. My husband places orders for his business, and he always remembers the vendors that do little extra things for them. He continues to use their products and often gives them a little extra display space. Even if it isn't much, doing a little extra can mean something for the people buying your product.

A hand written note will be more sincere no matter who you give it to.

Yes to all of that.... it helps a lot to express appreciation....any little thing you can do to help establish your gratitude and appreciation for those you work with or do business with will put you at the top of their list for folks who are deserving of more business..... no one like to be unappreciated....show them you care....

You should do both. It couldn't hurt to have the business cards in along with the gift cards. That way people will know who to be thankful to. Also, something I've learned in my life about successful business relationships is that it is ALWAYS a good idea to show people who are loyal customers that you recognize and appreciate them. A modest gift would be a wonderful idea.
