|

My dads side of the family comes from money. What ever they want they go out and get. For mothers day, I did a collage picture frame of mother daughter pictures. For fathers day, I did the same, however my mother said that she "already" had those pictures "somewhere". My hubby and I don't make the same amount of money they do. Last Christmas I got a car and a laptop from my parents, However I can't give gifts like that! What can I give to people who have everything?

If your parents love you, they dont care what you get them. just like those cute hand-in-paint pictures you made for them when you were just a little girl, those mean the world to them! Try about 100-200 dollars each. My mom's parents are divorced and because of that, her dad re-marrierd, and her mom has a boyfriend. Plus, she has to buy for all 4 children that she has! She spends around 150 on each of her parents and 50 on their boyfriend and their married one! Plus, she spends over 300 dollars every single one of us. Thats alot of money. And trust me, we aren't rich. We are making it.. but Christmas isn't an easy time. We just get through.. its that kinda thing. Try buying your mom things like:* jewelry [ hearts, personalized necklace or bracelet! ]* perfumes* clothes* a day at the spa [ 50 dollar giftcard ]* a new purse* a nice blanket* house decorations* towels, that kind of thingfor your dad:* tools* there is a new door thing that you have to put your finger on in order to be able to open your door, it remembers up to 25 or 50 people so that anybody you would like to program into being able to get into yourself like any family member or friend you truely trust! anybody would prefer this over a key. its only like 100 dollars!* house decorations* tickets to the movie theatre* his favorite old band like the Beatles or something tickets!* new clothes* a flagpole, or any electronics!good luck!and don't let them being richscare you from buying them something nice! :]MERRY CHRISTMAS! :]

If you want to give a really, really good present, consider getting a picture of the person you're giving the present to and draw a very detailed portrait with at least near-perfection shading. People are always touched to think that the other person spent so much time drawing it.If you think that'll take too long, you can buy chocolates or something.

donate money in their honor to your favourite charity! the charity sends a nice card to the honoree advising them a donation was made by you in their name. no amount is mentioned to them so they don't know if it was ten, twenty or a hundred dollars!merry christmas!

Your mother said "she already had those pictures somewhere?" A "thank you" and "it's beautiful" are always nice things to say even when you get small gifts! Well, don't think that just because they have a lot of money means that you have to spend a lot of money! Just get something from the heart for all of them. I don't know anybody from your family, so it's hard to say, but a nice, inexpensive necklace for your mom might be nice. And a fancy pen with his name engraved in it or "DAD"-you can get these at THINGS ENGRAVED-might be nice for your dad to have. For kids-younger brother/sister, etc.-might like maybe a webkinz-stuffed animals that can be logged on to a website-or just a T-Shirt from a kids store. If your parents don't appreciate the gift you gave them, don't feel bad. If you're really worried about what they're going to think of your gifts, explain to them calmly before they open it that you didn't have that much money to spend on gifts that year and you're sorry if they're not big enough. Hey, if I was your parent, I would be happy with a small, homemade card that said "Merry Christmas"! If they're your parents or family, they'll probably understand that you don't have as much money as they do at the moment because, I'm guessing, that you're probably only in College/University or just getting out of it, and that you'll be able to get them better gifts when you're older.

Think about something they really like and make something related to it/find something weird on the internet. I bought a homemade Cthulhu Christmas ornament from the internet that made a great present for a fan of Lovecraft that already had everything. I also made finger puppets of the Harry Potter Puppet Pals for a friend that's a fan of Harry Potter. It's small little things like that that mean a lot. A DVD of some summer blockbuster is nice for one viewing, but a Cthulhu Christmas ornament is something that they'll use for the rest of their lives. (not to mention that they'll remember you everytime it's Christmas.)

How about a sheep, or immunizations or, or schoolbooks for a year? You can buy these types of things at all price levels that will go to people who need them and you will get a certificate to give to the family member. It is cute to buy a stuffed sheep to give with the certificate. Go to treehugger.com and there should be a link.
