|
|
My sister-in-law is pregnant with TWINS and I don't have any idea what to get for her for Christmas without seeming like a Baby shower gift. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks! She's only 4months and doesn't know what she is having yet.

Since she won't be fitting into her clothes soon, maybe a gift cert for like Gap so she can shop at Gap Maternity or Old Navy Maternity. Or even a spa gift cert. so she can pamper herself. I'm sure she'll be feeling pretty miserable eventually.

What do you normally get her? Get her something for herself and not related to the baby, it wont seem like a baby shower gift than.

A gift card to a Motherhood Maternity store would always be welcome. I always wanted new maternity clothes.

Get her something for her, not the babies. Plenty of time for that later on.Try something like, a pedicure at a salon or manicure with hand massage, or a facial even. If you'd rather buy something, then choose something pretty to wear (an accessory, not an item of clothing unless you are absolutely sure of her size)Perfume is not a good choice as quite often strong aromas can make a pregnant woman heave!

I think it depends on the woman. I am expecting in a few weeks, and all I want is stuff for my baby, but a lot of women resent feeling like they aren't important anymore, so I would steer clear of baby stuff unless she specifically asked for it. Depending on how far along she is and her personality, stuff to pamper herself with is much appreciated. Also, many day spas have a mommy-to-be massage that is fantastic. A good book if she is an avid reader... my sister loved having books for the hospital and after the baby. If she is going to be a stay at home mom, maybe something that fits her hobbies... like paint if she is an artist, although she probably won't be pursuing hobbies much for a while, especially with twins!

A big fluffly robe and some slippers. Seriously. Maybe some lotions too. These are things that are for HER and I enjoy mine, especially with the weather being colder.

I have told everyone that if they are going to get me anything, I want baby stuff!!My suggestion is whatever you give her, attach a gift receipt to it.
