| I don't like gift cards. Even if it's alot of money, I don't like it, I mean sure I get to buy something I want, but I would rather someone give me something I don't like, but spent alot of time thinking about it.So many people have told me, "I found a perfect gift for you", I know it's not a gift card, whatever they are, I am sure I'll appreciate it.How about yourself? |

| If it is from a store I like and shop frequently then ok. Especially if it comes from a person that really has no idea what I like. I am appreciative of any gift. But I would rather have a gift card than a gift I can't use at all. Then you need a gift receipt and time to go exchange it. I have family members who still don't know how to shop for me. |

| i prefer gifts but my family doesnt live around me and the majority of them are last minute shoppers so a gift card makes sense but any time thought is put into it its sooo much better.... |

| me too.... i prefer anything but giftcards...... someone who knows u really well can give u the gift that u really like and someone who has gifted u something thinks that he understands u and u'll lik it.. but some1 who gifts u a giftcard doesnt really care to understand u... may b that's y we hate gettin them even if it's alot of money... |

| I absolutely love when someone has put some thought into a really special gift for you. Sure gift cards are convenient, but they are also very lazy..There is nothing more gratifying than a well chosen & thought out gift...it makes you feel special. By the way, if I was buying you a gift, I would choose a beautiful journal for you to keep all of your poetry in! Merry Christmas Chigga!! |

| I completely agree with you. The only time I like gift cards are when it's clearly apparant they put a lot of thought into them and then usually only for services..... like my husband getting me a gift card to a hair salon that I've been saying for months I'd like to try. Or me getting a gift card for my brother and his wife for portraits because they're excepting their first baby. |

Lol i hate getting just gift cards hahaha it's like ok read it and then ignore it, lol but when i get some gifts which i can use is something for me  thats real gift. Greeting cards don't truly stay with u but some useful gift indeed remains and it does keep the memory much more alive.I make it a point that if at all i have to gift cards then i also buy something good but ofcourse all this implies to people i care for lol. If it's just a formality and if i don't want to spend much then just a plain card lol but i put in great efforst to choose the right words  |
