I was thinking about giving a girl I like a Christmas card(with something thoughtful written on it of course) like 4 days before Christmas. To let you know, I am not broke, in fact I have a job, I just dont want to buy something too lavish and have her thinking that I am coming on too strong and freak her out. Can you help me? Do you think this would be a good idea? I know she knows I like her, but we rarely talk at school(due to a 2yr age difference), and we mainly talk through IM. So, do you think this is a good idea? I just want to be a little original with it. I was thinking of getting a teddy bear and calling it a day, but I want a little insight as to what I should do first. I like her a lot, and I almost had a chance to go on a date with her, but I had an emergency to take care of(work related), so I want to start making it up to her.

Just look for a friendship Christmas card. Valentines Day is two month away. You have plenty of time to make things up.

get her something original that matches her likes, etc. And in it, place a "Call me and I will be right there" type of card, you know, kinda like those "free I will do chores for a week" things some people give to their parents as gifts, then you could be like, "I won't bail on you the next time we make plans!"And take her out for dinner....

What if you write in the card something about how you feel bad that you missed the date because of work and you should ask her to another date.....I hope that gives you an idea.

That happend to me one year, but the other way around. He wrote me a card and gave me Starbucks hot chocolate (the hot chocolate was an inside joke) One time he saw me at Starbucks and we just talked and i told him i didn't like coffee so i bought hot chocolate. I thought it was really cute he remembered and that he gave me something cute and thoughtfull. He later asked me out on New Years and we went out for like 7 months. So my advise would be to give her a card and a thought full little cheap gift like a inside joke that would make her feel special. Good Luck!
