You said it right, you DO have a job, you have the hardest job in the world, and all the housework on top of it, you don't earn any wages but you do work hard, so don't feel guilty, you may not work in an office or shop but you do still work, you've earned it.

I am a pretty much full-time SAHM myself and the money that comes in is OUR money not just his...even though most the money goes to BILLS..I don't feel guilty at buying him something..just like with Christmas coming around I bought him things he needed and would have ended up buying sooner or later. Being a SAHM is a full time job and if we got paid it would be over 100,000 yearly. Good luck!

There's nothing to feel guilty about. As you said, it's not "his" money, it's both of yours. I'm sure he feels the same way. So, go ahead.. pick him up something nice for your anniversary, and feel good about it! |

No, of course not. As you said, it's your money together. For those who don't appreciate SAHMs, the equivalent salary we should be getting is around $130,000 - equal to TWO full-time jobs. No, don't feel guilty at all!

Why dont you do something else to surprise him like cook him a really nice dinner or dress up for him and you can be the dessert ; )I'm sure he will understand and really appreciate what you do for him.
