dude it's sad but welcome to modern society , jesus only exists when something bad happens nowadays... when you're f*cking it's ok, when you're doing drugs, drinking or having fun. so when christmas comes around it's all the same thing, say a prayer out of protocol at the table when you're really thinking about the food... and act like you're happy to be with family you hate when you're really thinking about presents or showing off what you've accomplished over the past yearThe One : are you that lame to really come here and get on this guy for spelling it 'xmas'?

'Christmas' is actually a Pagan-derived holiday. There are several holidays from which 'Christmas' comes, but none have to do with the birth of Jesus. Some say that he was born in the fall, others say in the spring. No one really knows, but Dec 25 was set as the date just to attract non-Christians.EDIT: and saying 'x-mas' isn't taking 'christ' of of 'x-mas'. Same goes for 'x-tianity' and 'x-tian'. Do some research before you bash. This site will tell you about both the date of x-mas and about the 'x'http://wilstar.com/xmas/xmassymb.htm

Jesus is still there in the minds and hearts of those who believe.Freewill is the true reason that Jesus is not there for the non believers.

Yes, He is. Not all of us who are Christians have just forgotten Jesus. You must understand that we cannot have Nativity plays and such at school. Itis unfair. Not all people are Christians. There are other faiths. We must consider that.Separation of church and state......You are wrong when you say "we ALL seem to be drifting away"----- I am not doing that. You may be, though.

Jesus never exist, he cannot be born both 6 or 7 BC and 6 or 7 AD as Matthew and Luke say, other Gospels not say, many contradictions in Bible tales of Jesus. Bible say he born in warm weather anyhow, not mid winter. Christians just take Roman Saturnalia and call it Jesus' birthday.

That's because Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus.

First of all, Jesus never leaves- we are the ones that leave Him. It is not the responsibility of those who are not saved, to get "Christ" back into Christmas. How can we expect them to honor Him? It is those of us who call ourselves His people, who have been saved by the blood of Jesus, who need to be the ones who put Him first. Even Jesus, Himself said that "the world would hate Him" so if Jesus seems to be fading, it is not the secular world that is doing it- even though they are trying to Jesus out of everything- it is the ones that are washed in the blood, that are refusing to stand up for Jesus , and keep Him central. Thanks for this question- I hope it makes all Christians think.

All the gift giving, Santa Claus, Christmas trees, etc. yeah, it can be fun but the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is and always will be the real reason to celebrate Christmas.
