| I hate getting gift cards for christmas or birthdays. That to me says I don't know you and don't want to make the effort of getting you something you would like. Honestly I would prefer getting something I didn't like at all and know that the person tried and was thinking of me than a gift card. My aunt gave my mom a 20$ gift card fo sonic last year because we lived right by one I just thought tacky. What are your thought on gift cards? |

| i agree, theyre so impersonal! putting at least five minutes in to pick out a hideous shirt that ill never wear again is better than getting a damn giftcard. |

| thank you SO MUCH for posting this question up because i bought my friend a giftcard for christmas and now your question has shed so much insight and now i want to return my giftcard and buy her a new gift thanks so much if only she didnt know what i already got her she seemed pretty disappointed |
