| is there any way that i could tell???OK I DO HAVE A WARRANTY BUT I CAN'T USE IT BECAUSE I HAVE NO RECIPT...WHAT DO I DO? ... IF I BOUGHT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY DO I STILL NEED A RECIPT?? |

| just look after it, u cant tell if it has warranty, unless u ask whoever got it for u and go to the shop, where they got it from. U WILL NOT NEED WARRANTY IF U LOOK AFTER IT. |

| Is the warrenty for bestbuy? You wont need the recipt if the person who bought it has a best buy reward zone acct. if they dont then you need the recipt. |

| Zune has a 1 year warranty. If the person who gave it to you is someone you are close to then I wouldn't be shy about asking where they bought it or asking for a receipt for warranty purposes. They should understand that for something this expensive you will need warranty information. Just because you take care of something doesn't mean that it won't have a problem that needs addressing. If you don't feel comfortable asking the giver for the information then contact Microsoft and ask what info you would need to provide to prove the product is under warranty. |
