| Are you renewing your vows or are you having a second wedding ceremony, and there is a difference?A second wedding ceremony (and reception) is the party that you never had. If you are wearing a gown, if you have bridesmaids, if you are having a flower girl or ring bearer, if your husband is wearing a tuxedo, if you have ordered a three-tiered wedding cake, and if you have hired a disc jockey and a photographer than you are having a second wedding ceremony.Registering for gifts is NOT appropriate. Wedding guests are offended when couples register for wedding presents nine years after they have been married. | Yes, I am sorry but that would be inappropriate. It has nothing to do with how long you have been married. The fact is that it is a vow renewal...not a wedding.It is more or less an anniversary party. So, that being said, many people probably will bring gifts, but resist the urge to register somewhere. |
