|
|
| my first question is ... 4 years ago i had my 1st kid. a boy. i have since gotten rid of all his baby stuff. now i'm having a girl. should i register for gifts again???? or is it rude? 2nd question... on the online registry i am supposed to put a personal message. what are you supposed to write? i feel really weird doing a registry in the 1st place bc i feel like i'm asking for gifts, but people have asked me if i have one. i just want to know the proper etiquette. thanks for your help. |

| Take your money and go to a consignment baby shop for your used-but-clean-and-serviceable nursery furniture/clothes/etc.Once your closer friends and family know you are having a girl and that you are starting completely over, I'm sure they'll come forward to help out. |

| Back in the day as they would say a person would only have one baby shower for their first baby and it would be a small gathering of close women friends. Today that are sometimes large gatherings with male and female guests. Also people now have multiple showers for multiple children specially if the second child is a different sex than the first. Also even if the same sex some women are having kids 2-4-6 years apart and and would have showers cause they like you had gotten rid of most of their stuff. Go for it enjoy this birth as much as the first and let everyone celebrate. Baby shower is to celebrate the birth of a child so why not celebrate for every child. |

| Absolutely you should register. Make sure to include a wide range of prices.A personal message? I guess you could mention the sex of the baby and one or two things you really need (Boppy pillow, bottle warmer, whatever.) |

| Have a registry but only mention it to those who ask about it. Don't make anyone feel pressured to buy you another gift. And don't get rid of baby #2's stuff until you know there won't be baby #3. |
