I am just making my gift registry. What are some good gift ideas to put on it? I did it on myregistry.com so I can add anything I want. I don't want to put anything too expensive. help would be appreciated.

If you go to an actual store's website, like Bed Bath and Beyond, Linens and Things, Target, etc., they will have a registry checklist for suggested items.

as the other 'answerer' suggested start with kitchen items as well as linens, sheets, blankets, towels, pillows, laundry baskets, dishes, decorations, bathroom accessories... things of that nature. Kitchen things are most common but dont forget about everything else. Just kind of move from room to room in your mind and think of different things you want and need.

If the 19 on your nickname stands for your age, make sure you add a divorce lawyer to your list, you'll need one pretty soon.

Anything for your home really. I am getting married in Sept and we are putting all of the decor for the house. You name it towells, bedding, storage containers, and even fun stuff. Our friends just got married and they like to camp, so they asked for a coolers and cool folding chairs and fun games that they can take with them on their trips.

What do you need? Are you combining households? Are you looking for all new stuff? Are you just starting out?If you have kitchen stuff that will work for you, but don't have a vacuum cleaner, why would you put down more kitchen stuff? I'd go for the cleaner!

What we did is, we created a Target Registry and one at Macy's. That way we could have things in all price ranges. Usually people put on kitchen items, bathroom items, bed sheets, and other nick nacks for decorating a home.

Dont be afraid to ask for expensive things....you never know.make sure you ask for:1. Kitchen appliances (toaster, blender, pots and pans, hand towels, mixing bowls, spoons, silver wear, plates, cups, bowls, cookie sheets, cake pans, measuring spoons, knife sets, crock pots are great! my husband and I got a George forman grill-it was the best thing ever! seriously, everything you can think of!!!)2. Home furnishings (Picture frames, end tables, candles, lamps-we got a lamp that I had really been wanting but didnt expect to get, Tv, rugs, throw pillows)3. Bathroom decor (Towels-you can never have enough!, washcloths, shower curtain, soap dispenser, bath mats)4. Bedroom furnishings (mirrors, picture frames, candles, bedsets-I got a very expensive bedset that I mainly just put on for the fun of it I never thought I would get it and someone bought it and all the pillows and sheets that went with it, I now have a very expensive, beautiful bedset that I would have never been able to buy for myself)5. Dont forget the random stuff...I got married at 19 so I didnt have alot of basic things like... a broom, mop (swiffer wet jets are amazing) toilet brushes, a vacuumeLots of time people who you dont expect will get you very nice things. One tip: not everyone has access to the internet, so I would also register someplace like Walmart or target, you can do it all online, but people who dont have internet or prefer to go shopping in person can still get you something you want.good luck...registering is a lot of work....my husband hated it.
