My nephew is turning one next week. Unfortunately I am 5000 miles away. I would like to send him a gift preferably something personalized. I was thinking about a personalized children's book. Anyone have a better idea? I nned to keep the gift under 50 dollars. Thanks

$50 savings bond would be the best thing- get his college fund going. 1 year olds don't need any more toys anyway- he will be getting enough of that from everyone else until he is 10+! start his future out right and give others the good idea of saving for him!

money is a good thing and my grand kids prefer it (the oldest is 5) but "harriet carter" has alot of personalized stuff for kids like bags and towels and useful things.
