My best friend is having a little girl and her shower is coming up soon. I ahve purchased some cloths, bibs, passies and a really soft blanket. And I am going to get her some diapers, wipes and all that good stuff. But I want to get her something special since she is my best friend....any ideas? My mom does stain glass so she made this really pretty cross to hang in the window. All of your ideas are great...I have a lot to think about!Oh yeah and my friend who is having the baby is in the Nursing program so she is really busy.

Wow! Want to be my best friend too? ;)This is really generous of you. I think what you're getting is MORE then plenty, even for a best friend. However, you could buy her a baby scrapbook and get lots of scrapbooking paper, stickers, accessories, etc. Or get some of her ultrasound pictures framed. Just be creative with it if you want to do something special for her. How nice of you!

A gold Charm or her first pair of earrings. That stuff isn't that expensive at a jewlery store and it lasts forever. you can even engrave.

I know this is so far off, but my friends have been doing belly casts for there pregnant friends. You paper mashet(spelling) the stomach and breasts and that way you can save the pregnant belly and paint it beautiful colors and she can hang it on the babies wall .

Get her something special, not for the baby, but for her.

Look on her registry, most people just find things that are cute and don't bother to look at the registry. How many people register for a breast pump and actually get it at a baby shower? Or get her a gift card for where she's registered.

you can buy (or make, if you are creative) a special photo album and put together a few pages with some special pics of you and mom-to-be and maybe you can get some ultrasound pics from dad too to get her started.

how about something for her like a rocking chair with robe and slippers for those 3 a.m mornings? or a gift basket with relaxing chamomile and lavender products for stress relief. it sounds like you got the baby covered already. i think you should get something for her.

My bestfriend gave me a whole bunch of stuff but the best gift that she gave us was all of her favorite books when she was a kid and she wrote something in the inside of each book (about 8 books) to our son. It was very sweet and something that he will be able to appreciate as he gets older.

Babies R Us has a bathtub/spa for babies. I just went to a shower that had this as a gift, and it was the hit of the night. You could also go to a jewelry store and get a baby ring or baby cup that can be engraved.
