chocolates can be eaten, flowers can die.why don't you go for something homemade? they are from the heart and very sincere. you can't go wrong with a homemade card with a short and simple note to her!also, girls love jewelry and every time she wears it, she'll be reminded of you (that can be good or bad- you decide).

it depends on the person and how well they know me. if i was to be surprised by a hot guy i never knew liked me, chocolates or flowers would be perfect because it's not too intrusive. if it was my boyfriend, i'd love something small to let me know he was thinking beyond the stereotypical stuff. it wouldn't matter to me how much he paid for it, i'd be much happier with something that meant a lot to 'us' rather than have him go out spending a lot of money on jewellry (which by the way is VERY dangerous territory - chances are she won't like the style!) which could be saved up for a great day out for the both of us!

I happen to love chocolate! Jewelry is nice, but Valentines day is such a commercial holiday I don't expectmy bf to spend his monthly salary on a gift. A box of chocolate or a good DVD we can watch together is a great idea to me:)

On Val day I only want my dude to treat me the same way he does on the other 364 days of the year. Thats right people. I want him to give me love, respect, and that damn sense of humor that keeps me laughing each and everytime we see each other or speak on the phone.

Girls still love chocolates and teddy bears they are a classic!! just make sure it isn't an embarrsing teddy, more like a soft regular plushy one minus it holdin a heart or something. whitmans chocolates are way better than the heart box ones. if your girl likes doin that stuff with you lingerie would be good as long as you added chocolate and teddy too. my mom loved gettin appliance for valentines, my daddy got her a fridge and she was so happy! it doesn't have to be expensive jewelry just something that appeals to her and she would wear. a simple gold or silver something would make it easier to wear with almost anything. big and gauzy would make it hard to wear on a day to day basis and it looks tacky. but you could just go chocolate, teddy, and rose in the morning, then later in the day give her another thing to surprise her cause she'd expect the choc. teddy rose to be the only thing she gets!

I personally love chocolates, and I like modeling lingerie for my husband. Appliances, yeah, unless they're romantic don't go there.I think alot of it depends on the actual girl and your relationship with her, for me, as long as me and hubs do the deed on v-day, I don't really mind if he gets me a present.Candles, and things like that are also good gifts. As long as your gift comes from you heart, your girl will love it.

What do I not want? I don't want lingerie. I think I'd smack my fiance if he got me that. I don't believe in having sex before marriage, so, you can imagine that it wouldn't go over very well. I love teddy bears. I think there's nothing wrong with that. They are cute. If it's just something generic, then it's not the best, but if they put thought into it and it's a certain thing that connects with me, then it's thoughtful. I want something thoughtful. The best thing is to be able to spend time with someone. Time is priceless and precious.

It depends on the woman, we are not all the same after all. The one gift that I would NOT want is expensive jewelry. For me the best present is always flowers because they make me smile and feel loved.

chocolates - (don't buy them make some)roses (not every woman likes them, I prefer tiger lilies)Lingerie - (OK. but sexy not raunchy - I prefer a bad-ass pair of shoes and your tie!)Appliances - (maybe if its something I really want)Jewels - (always works for me!..lol and I didn't say diamonds either)Dinner - (we can go out anytime.. how about cooking for me?)I guess its the thought that counts but at least put some thought into it. and a Lil creativity wouldn't hurt either!
