ask her what she needs or find out where she is registered and get something off that. But for me I wanted diapers and more diapers it may not be a pretty gift but it is a needed one.

if your friend has a registry look on there..otherwise its always good to get a gift card or depending on how much you want to spend you could get onsies and burp cloths some of the essential items you need.. trust me with a baby boy we need all the onsies we can get.!!

Seriously get her lots of diapers and diper wipes. It is something that she will be able to use. When I had my baby shower I got so many diapers and wipes that I didn't have to buy ANY till my daughter was 6 months old, it was nice to not have to worry about that.

My friend had a baby shower for her little girl about a year ago, and I got her a package of onesies (you can never have too many with a baby), a really pretty newborn dress, and some other small pretty girl things. My friend actually had her first pictures out of the hospital taken in the dress i bought her. =]
