I like buying a large beautiful basket and fill it with many small gifts. You can find cute little stuff all pretty and girlie. Add things she will need too, I even added a few lottery tickets once. Then wrap it all up in clear cello paper with a huge bow. Marvelous Manic Monday to ya (;

Loved footed pjs or gowns on my little one. He wore those around the house most of the time.....or diapers. You can never have enough diapers. If you are going to buy clothes, buy the next size up. Everyone tries to buy 0-3 months and you need some new outfits for later too. Hope this helps.

1. Check her registry first. Chipping in with others for larger items is a great idea as well. 2. Diapers and wipes. They are not fancy to give but they are truly a great gift. 3. Lansinoh products. Their lanolin and breast pads are wonderful and an absolute blessing to have on hand. Plus they are a little more spendy then other brands so it is nice to receive them as a gift. 4. 3-6, 6-9, 9-12 month clothing (make sure it is proper for the season it will be when the child is that age). Everyone buys newborn stuff, it is very nice to have larger size clothing to put away. Older sizes of onesies and pajama's are always needed and appreciated. Also, we could not have enough socks! Those tiny socks get misplaced or lost soo easily. 5. Books for the baby. I thought it was a nice touch when someone gave a book that meant something to them. Good Night Moon, Jamberry, etc.6. I always add something in a baby shower gift just for the Mother. Some bath gifts (bubbles, salts, etc.), nice chocolates, a gel eye mask, anything that will pamper the mom-to-be.Have fun at the shower!

Does she have a name picked out? If so, how about a cute, personalized sign for the nursery that accents the décor? Personalized gifts are always treasured. They have nice ones here: http://www.mysweetandsour.com/ The artist is a mom.
