If you are using disposable diapers I would suggest getting these little bags from Toys r us to put the poopy ones in...they are wonderful and smell great too...or you can get a diaper genie but we had one of those and didn't like it to much.......

A car seat that doubles as a carrier. One that will lock onto the shopping cart so you don't have to put baby into one of those yucky store seats. This carrier would unlock from the car bases easily. It also helps with the buckling and unbuckling so you don't have to wake baby up to get them out. You can also get ones that triple as a stroller!

here's a tip:I'm not a mom yet, but this is what my sister does;she goes to these baby swap things in the community and gets such cute, namebrand or things just in really good shape for her little girl. Seriously, she always talks about it and her daughter has really nice stuff. All the best!! Smile

Mom's I have known love the Boppy pillow. It's great for feedings and can be used for baby's tummy time too. It's also go to prop them up in a semi sitting position.

I used receiving blankets alot . Baby wipes by the area where you will be diaper changing is helpful too. Just thought of something else - I used an umbrella stroller when going out because it was very easy to handle especially when you are by yourself with baby.

Well, I'm not a mom (I'm only 14), but I have been around to see my aunts, uncles and older cousins have kids. You're gonna need a crib, A LOT of clothes (if you don't know the gender yet, green baby clothes looks good on boys and girls) about a million packs of diapers, bottles, formula, a stroller, a car seat, blankets, a whole bunch of stuff to child proof your home, and a few other things that you don't realize that you're going to need. My advice is to go to a store and look around to decide what you think that you are going to need.

wipes, lots of diaper rash stuff, car seat, baby hangers, all types of weather clothing, baby bath tubs, those ball things that help suck the snot out of their nose, baby thermometer, bottle brush cleaners, socks, baby hats, vibrating toys are good, noise makers that make soothing sounds, baby monitors, crib, blankets, shampoo, wipes, props to hold new Born's in car seats or help them lay safely in certain positions. the best thing ever play pens that have the double layer so you can use the upper layer to change them, as a bassinet they serve as several purposes... strollers skip some of the things they will only use the 1st month or so that you can go without. try to look more long term if you don't have a whole lot of moo la cribs that convert into child first bed...some things are better idf you buy your self like pacifiers and baby bottles so encourage gift certificates..

Besides the basics car seat, stroller, crib, bottles, pacifiers, etc. Must have swing, bouncer seat, Bassent, portable swing, and a fisher price aqaurimun for the crib both my kids loved it and it helped them fall asleep.

Pack and play. If you ever go to family or on vacation.you have no worries where you will put your babyto sleep. its so easy to pack up and put back to together again. I love mine and i really suggest getting one. Especially if you go to a motel, its better than having your baby sleep in a crib with all those germs.its not that big so doesn't take much space, when you put it in car.

- Car seat- Buggy, stroller or baby carrier (I LOVE my Ergo). If you want a buggy/stroller, take lots of time test driving them and if possible, borrow a friend's baby or toddler to see how easy they are to push and steer with weight in them.- Safe place for baby to sleep (straight into a cot if you're not co-sleeping...don't waste money on a smaller bassinette/moses basket that they'll sleep in for a couple of months at best)- consider cloth nappies...much more economical in the long run than disposables and much better for your baby's skin and the environment (and SOOOO cute!)- a safe place to change nappies. You don't need a purpose built change table...a chest of drawers with a nice big top surface is perfect (I have two back-to-back) as the storage within reach will be invaluable. Make sure whatever you use as a change table is the right height...the top should be just below your elbows.- wraps for swaddling in the early weeks- clothes that are easy to change and 110% natural fibre... no fussy buttons or ribbons to mess with in the middle of the night; front fastening, bodysuits are brilliant (buy short or long ones depending on the time of year your baby is due)- enzyme and fragrance free washing powder for baby's clothes and bedding- plenty of fitted cot sheets- baby sleeping bag (like a Grobag) as babies don't keep blankets on!- nursing bras and breastpads if you're planning on breastfeeding; bottles, teats, steriliser, formula, bottle brush etc etc etc if formula feeding...breastfeeding is SO much cheaper and more convenient Surprised)- if you have a bathtub, consider buying just a support for baby...no need for a baby bath as he/she will out grow it in no time anyway- lots of gorgeous, all natural skin care products - baby bathwash, shampoo and moisturiserIn all of the websites I've listed, I'm just showing examples of products I have used. There are many great alternatives to each one...have fun finding things that appeal to you Surprised)Congratulations. What an exciting time for you!
