We are inviting 140 guests, 40 of which are children. We registered today at Target and added 126 items to the registry. 75% of the items on the registry are $30 and below and the others average at $50. We have 3 items over $100, but we only put those because we get a 10% discount after the wedding on items that weren't bought on the registry. Does this sound like we have a good registry? Should we add some things? Should we have more lower priced items? I don't want people to feel like we're begging for expensive gifts. We even put super cheap stuff like sponges, laundry detergent, and wooden spoons on there. We're a pretty low key couple, but there are some more expensive "nice" things we'd like to have like a memory foam mattress topper and a nice entertainment system armoire. We just don't want to burden people by putting too many expensive items on our wedding registry.

that really isn't a lot of expensive stuff for a registry, but you know the people you are inviting and how much they may be willing to spend. its ok to have some expensive items on there, you arent forcing anyone to purchase them. i think you've been more than considerate regarding what may be people's slim budgets.

That sounds like a really good amount. Watch your registry and if the things to buy start getting low, you can always add more then. You'll get only what you really want if you limit your registry.

why don't you just tell people what you want them to buy. Like assign them a gift... that would clear up the confusion! HahhahhaSorry, I don't mean to sound sarcastic. Its just, you should register for the things you need and WANT, not try to strategically register for the financial convenience of the guests. That's weird. I've never known this method before.

sounds ok, but if you want, you can always add some more expensive items on there, it's not like you're forcing them to buy you them, you are just registering for what you want/need, and they're the ones who decide if they are & are able to buy it for youcongrats on the wedding

Sounds good. You're most likely going to get multiples of everything anyway, so you'll be able to carry the extras back and trade them in for the things you didn't get that you wanted.

Wow! That sounds nice. If the average is $50....that is great. And many are $30 and below. Perfect! It's sounds nice and it also sounds like you are taking into consideration the financial status of some of your guests! Very nice. I just love the stuff at Target myself. And, it's easy to find things from the registry there (I have looked for many gifts, believe me). They give you the aisle number so it's super easy.Add more if you need more things. Don't worry, your guests will choose from the registry what they want to give you. Some may even choose a couple of things given the low price. Sounds good!

I would put a few more expensive things, in the $50 to $100 range. Most people won't have sponges in mind when they go to check out your registry.

Some people like to go in as a group and buy a larger gift. If there is something that you like that is expensive, just register for it. Maybe a few cousins could get together and purchase that one thing. Other than that. everything sounds good.
