My boyfriend and I had a thing our Senior year in High School (dating without the lable you could call it), so I guess we're High School Sweethearts. We started OFFICIALLY dating June 3rd, 2007... the Summer before college. So our anniversary is in 2 months and I'm clueless! For his Birthday I filled his apartment with balloons... each one containing a love quote, coupon, etc. Christmas I got tickets to see Blue Man Group. Valentine's Day I got him a ring. Now I can't think of anything special for our 1 Year. We're going on a Dinner Cruise, but I'm clueless for a gift. Ideas?

Paper is the traditional 1 year anniversary gift. A nice poem, a handmade card, a list of all the things you love about him, a scrapbook of the past year together, a song you write and then sing to him, coupons for a kiss, a backrub, ect, tickets for a show, and the list just goes on an on.You can go the traditional route and still be creative or you can try something unique like taking a fun class together (ethnic cooking, dancing, pottery, yoga, glass blowing, web-design, photography, painting, rock-climbing, surfing), go on a road-trip (maybe even to a nearby country, the beach, historical place, a big city, the desert, a forest, ect), go camping, fly kites, visit the zoo, go dancing, a mix tape/CD/playlist for an MP3 player, or do little nice gestures throughout the day like breakfast in bed, warming up his bath towel/robe in the dryer so it's nice and warm when he gets out of the shower, a back massage, reminding him what you love about him, sending flowers (guys like them too), going for a nice walk and talking, or even spending part of the day in bed (not nessasarily having sex, but at least spending time together.)You're going on a dinner cruise, so already you're doing something special. You may also want to go with the flow and see where the day takes you. He may have things planned too. It's not so much what you get him, as long as it shows you care. This isn't a contest to go bigger and better each time, because eventually that will result in a huge let down when you can't top yourself anymore. It's like giving a gift to the guy who's got everything, all they really want is something personal and creative. Maybe a momento from your first date. If you went to the movies and saved the ticket stub, then frame it. It sounds cheesy, but that's the kind of romantic stuff that's neat to have.Best of luck. Smile

I bet the best gift in such a situation would be an art piece - for instance a handmade portrait or painting made from some memorable photos. Just send the photo(s) to the professional artists at http://www.paintyourlife.com and they will create wonders out of that innocent looking photo. You will definitely like it, and so will everyone who sees it. The service is fast and fairly priced. Take a look and judge for yourself! If you are looking for an affordable gift urgently, the same company also has a studio for oil paintings reproductions. So, visit them at http://www.oil-paintings-reproductions.com and take a look at their 'stock on sale'.
