I know we all have been sneaky meaning we would sneak and get a Christmas gift and run back in our rooms and open it to see what thing was wrapped that we couldn't figure out what it was before we did what we did, did you ever get caught ? 4-21-08

I'd wait 'til no one was around and slice the tape with a razor blade and tape it right back up. Never got caught.

My daughter one year stole the sweets we had hanging on the Christmas tree and then fastened the wrappers up again so they looked normal.Trouble was that on Twelfth Night when we took down the tree and shared out the sweets her ruse was discovered |

i would unwrap one gift about a week before Christmas. I didn't do it all the time, maybe three times. I stopped doing it because once i unwrapped the "grand finale" and was sorry to have ruined my own surprise. Another time I unwrapped socks. I never got caught.

I never did but I had a friend whose parents actually encouraged her to do that. I didn't see the point in it.

Oddly enough it never occurred to me to look for presents and unwrap them. When I was young I loved the surprise not knowing what was in the package. When I was a teenager I discovered what a bad secret keeper my mother was. She told my sister what she had gotten me and vice versa. We never had to snoop, we simply told each other what we were getting.

LOL...i remember one year my aunt had lived in Texas (i live in NY). Her and my cousin had sent me a little envelope all wrapped up that was filled with 'live rattlesnake eggs'. It was just this little metal wide spaced V type thing with a rubber band twisted around it so that when you opened the envelope, it snapped around inside and sounded like the eggs hatched. I opened that and i couldnt figure out how to rig it back. So i just sealed it back together and didnt get caught. They chaulked it up to the contents of the box banging against it that set it off. Another year, i opened a present that was a puzzle and another that was the puzzle glue. I couldnt seal the glue back up so i hid it in my grandmothers house (thats where my presents were). Never got caught.

Nope I knew I wouldn’t get away with unwrapping and rewrapping. But I always would pick up the presents and shake them.
