| I think I always go way overboard on christmas presents and I'm just curious how many presents most people buy per child for christmas and how much money they spend on their children total for christmas...I have 4 girls who will be ages 5,10,13,and almost 15 by next Christmas and I will also have a new born baby (due sept 24. 2008)....if that helps to answer this question any...I'm just curious to see what others spend and think....make sure you tell me how many gifts per child you usually get....since that's what I want to know the most...thank you... |

| hum,it really depends on what you can afford. we are still in a starting out phase so i try to save up and not spend more than 150 on my son <but he's not even 2 yet>. alix had like 15 presents all together to open this year but i only got him like 7 or 8 including his big present and he was pretty happy with everything he was getting. my mother on the other hand used to spend like 500 on each of us with one big present for each of us or a big family present like the trampoline we got one year or the computer we got when i was in high school. sherissa |

| I have one child and I would get him one big gift with 4 or 5 small gifts.I think it should have alot to do with what u can afford. It's Xmas and once a year u spoil your children as much as u can afford.Mine is 19 now so I give him money. He is a well adjusted kid that works and goes to school. |

| Santa complicates things a bit- what's better, more from santa or mom & dad? That is our issue. Normally santa fills the bottom of the tree with little dollar store presents and such, with 1 or 2 bigger presents for each child, and we give them each 1 big one from us. |
