Hi everyone,I am currently conducting research for a study into the perception of Gift Cards and whether they are an 'acceptable' gift for someone.Gift Vouchers are being replaced more and more these days with cards, and people see them as a convenient way to get a gift, especially when you do not have a clue what to get someone!Do you think gift cards are a fair gift or just the 'lazy' option? Does it matter who its for and the occasion? Also what is an acceptable fee to pay for a Gift Card before you have even topped it up?Any thoughts would be really helpful, and further still, if you have the time the link below is a really short questionnaire on it (will take 30 secs max..honest!)http://www.my3q.com/home2/223/payzone/66990.phtmlThanks for your help!

I think as a gift to someone close to you they are definately thoughtless and seem impersonal unless specifically requested, but for someone like for example you have to buy for that you don't really want to is acceptable

If it's somebody like a lover it's better to buy them something romantic but anybody else likes to get a gift card. Teenagers usually like to choose their own gift.

I personally don't like them, but stores love them. Reason is, that many people don't spend them, and forget about them. This netting the stores quite a nice little earner, seeing as they don't have to sell stock to cash in, and many more vouchers to goods can be bought, a cheap item bought with thought is much more appreciated I'm sure.
