See if they have a registry and look for something small to fit you budget and maybe give them some money. Money was my favorite gift because we could use it to do whatever even if that ment paying bills with it! Good luck

An American Express Gift Card of the denomination you want where they can use it for anything they want or need.

American Express Gift Cheque. It is elegant and they can spend it anywhere they would like. You can get it at any bank. I dont like gift cards, because it limits you to their store. The Gift Cheque can be spent anywhere food, vacation, honeymoon, the house, and the list goes on.

Well take it from someone in the same situation, I have been with my fiance for almost 8 years and we have lived together for 15 months. We are still going to register even though we have the majority of the staples a home would need. I plan to register for the items here and there that we don't have, or items that we don't really need but would be nice to have.Honestly, money would be preferred, but if someone doesn't want to give money I think purchasing anything off of my registry, a dinner gift certificate or something we could use on our honeymoon. (Ex. we're going to Mexico so maybe couples beach blankets, new luggage, camera, etc.)I hope this helps, best of luck!

Get them an "I Do!" gift card. It's a card that can be used online for a collection of gifts specifically designed as a wedding gift. They pick the gift they want and it comes to their door at no extra charge to them. We were given the "New Arrival" card when we had our baby and I thought it was wonderful because I could pick something I didn't already have, and it seemed more personal than an ordinary gift card, because it's for a specific item instead of a dollar amount.http://djeffords.ordermygift.com/products/product.aspx?itemno=749500B8
