What are the cheapest broken down selfish Christmas gifts you have ever gotten from someone while that same person gave everyone else cool new presents that were really expensive, do you think that same person will give you the same thing for this Christmas?5-7-08

A toothpick dispenser. A black plastic bird that bent over when you pressed on his head. The last couple years they didn't, and they couldn't even spell my name right.

I never got a serious bad Christmas gift but I have gotten half empty paint cans before. It's a joke gift exchange my friends do. I gave a used diaper genie once. It's a lot of fun.

My daughter's father and I weren't together but I was still (stupidly) completely in love with him. We kind of saw each other off and on and I always tried to be "perfect" so he would decide he loved me and had to be with me (I know, idiot!). So, one year I went and had our daughter's picture taken, found a beautiful sterling silver picture frame and had it engraved with the words "Daddy's Girl", put my daughter's picture in it and gave it to him. He in return got me a cheesy Christmas snow globe from a dollar store. It was the cheapest most horrible gift I have ever received and it was at that moment I realized maybe he wasn't so awesome after all! I don't think I will ever get anything else from him as I have been happily married to someone wonderful who legally adopted my duaghter for 10 years now!

At my company's annual store Christmas -oops, Holiday- dinner, gifts (unwrapped store merchandise) are given to each associate. Two years ago I received a small box of generic brand chocolate-covered cherries. Last year I got a sample-sized bottle of Stetson cologne. Granted, they probably didn't know I'm allergic to chocolate and cherries...but it could at least have been Lady Stetson! |

A five or ten year old dried up fruit cake that had been in a freezer. I looked like a dried up sponge with mold and mildew all over it.
