If you and your friend had gotten e/o gifts for christmas, and it's already May and you have not exchanged yet, is it appropriate to just keep the gift and forget it all?

yess why not, as far as your friend is concerned you never got a gift for him/her, and its been a while, you could always keep it for next year!!

I don't see anything wrong with it. If you end up exchanging gifts, just go buy something else.

You can always have Christmas in July. Or re-wrap it in some other type of neutral wrapping paper. If it is a gift card though, use the gift card and get her another one. |

If you havent seen them or bothered to mail it, probably not that close of a friend anyways. I wouldnt see a problem with it - they have probably done the same thing.

Whatever you feel most comfortable with. You can always buy another gift if you wish to do so.
