The best gift you can give? $30. Cash always fits, is always in style, and is always practical.

1. Gift certificate to their favorite restaurant.2. A good bottle of champagne.3. A pretty photo frame.4. Tickets to a show, play, concert or sporting event you know they would enjoy.5. Are they registered anywhere? If so, get something off the registry.6. Towels, sheets, or glasses. One can never have too many of these . . . and eventually, they always need to be replaced.7. Money. Write them a check . . . or get them a gift certificate to a favorite store.

Wow 30 is really cheap but... You can go on line and find Martini or Champagne glasses and have them engraved with their names and the date. That is cheap and shows you made a concerned effort!

How about a nice picnic basket filled with plates, glasses a tablecloth/blanket....etc You can even get nice but disposable stuff to not be too hard on your budget. They can take it to the beach or park...tailgaiting at a concert...or even use it in their living room for a nice romantic dinner.

Since its a back yrad wedding and they own a house, how about a few plants for thier yard? Or check thier registry and get something on there.AMEX gift card!Make a gift basket with things they might like (Italian-pasta, sauce, oil, vinigar. Wine- bottle of wine, glasses and chocolate). that way you can stretch your budget and make it look great!

If they are only having a backyard wedding I think a $30 gift will be fine. You could do a lovely picture frame, a vase, something lasting or you could provide them with a wine/champagne basket with flutes. Use your imagination.Also-don't wear heels to the wedding-chances are you'll sink into the grass.
