You should get her a prenatal massage. One of my girlfriend bought me a gfit certificate for a prenatal for my shower and it was the best gift. We had just about everything that we needed so it was nice to have that instead of more things that we wouldnt use. She would appreciate it!Or if you are creative...you can make her a scrap book.

Well obviously something for the baby, So i'd say if she doesnt have a baby bed, get that.If she does have a baby bed, get one of those things that spin above the baby bed to keep the baby amused. These are cheap + she'll love the gift.If neither are good enough, you could always go for ababy chair. One of those chairs that help babies walk around. You'll never find something for babies over $150 unless it's a baby bed, so don't worry about it being too expensive.

I think she would love anything from leapfrog or any other baby toys. Can never have enough of them. Either that or maybe even a gift card for a spa day. She's going to be hurting for a while after she delivers. Trust me.Hope that helps. Have fun at the baby shower!-Cavaness

hey, cool idea! Get her a totaly awesome and unique cake! I so have to remember that! If your good with baking yourself, you could bake a cake and then carve it into whatever shape and pipe some 'encouraging' sayings onto it. Such as "survey says that the average amount of diapers purchased is over eight gazillion during the first year!"

Every baby shower that I ever attended, I would buy a basket/bath tub/toy box/diaper bag, something that they could reuse and fill it with items for the baby. You could also make a theme out of it. Like if you bought a diaper bag, you could buy things that would need to be put into the diaper bag for a day out. Like an outfit or two, diapers, wipes, diaper rash ointment, bottle, formula, burp cloth, Binky, toys. Or you could take a bath tub and fill it with bath products, like body wash, lotion, bath toys, towels, wash cloths.Or a get a toy box and load it up with toys for the little one.Whenever I did the bath tub or basket idea I would always go to walmart and get fabric and ribbon to match, and rap the fabric around the bath tub or basket that I got(so none of the little items fall out), and tie it with ribbon. They are always a hit, and everyone thinks that I bought it like that. I think that they are more special because you put more thought into it.

Buy some fabric you think is nice and have someone (or if you know how to) make a quilt and matching pillow case for her. She may not use the pillow case immediately, but if the person makes the quilt slightly larger than a regular baby blanket, the baby can use it into her toddler years, and she has something a family member had made especially for her.You could do the same thing with a scrapbook--buy a 3 ring binder and cover it with cute fabric, and prepare a bunch of pretty paper in sheet protectors so her mom has somewhere to put all the cards, hospital bracelet, etc. She won't have a lot of time to organize something like that, so it will be especially helpful if you offer to come over once a month (or so) and help put things into it while she takes care of her daughter (or reverse that and take care of the baby while she organizes the baby book).
