|
|
| My college age daughter's boyfriend and his parents have begun to regularly invite her for weekends at their home. She likes to take a small hostess gift and has given flowers and homemade cookies, which were well received. She can't take wine, as she is under age and could get in trouble with the law if she were stopped with alcohol in the car. She is on a limited budget. Please help with suggestions, as these people are very special to her! |

| Fruit, canned fruits/jellies from fruit stands, candles, cakes, tell her to pay attention to things they like...you can usually see around the home. Flea Markets are great spots to find the unique and even cheap! |

| homemade things are always nice and truly show that you care.Cookies or other baked goods are a great idea. Another idea is take a jar and layer the dry ingredients for cookies in it and include a recipe card with it. When it gets cold out you can do the same thing with hot chocolate in a mugMaybe a couple candles?I think anything homemade is great! That is so nice of your daughter to take some hostess gifts! |

| Can she cook? Tell her to take an entree for dinner. Maybe some flavored coffee, like hazelnut or french vanilla. A nice picture, in a nice picture frame of her and boyfriend. Maybe a good movie on DVD. She's a very lucky young lady. A lot of parents don't like their children's choices in mates. |

| Just keep with the cookies and baked goods. Something made herself is more special than a purchased gift. A nice thank you note at the end of the visit is good too. |
