What are Renegade Squadron Medals about?

I was looking forward to playing this July 4th, getting my last medal and for some reason my Slicer Medal and Wookie Day medals are gone.What do these medals do?I'm looking for a PSP save file for Renegade Squadron.If you have this game and all medals up until this point, please upload your save file to gamefaqs.com @ http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/psp/data/939453.htmlI got this game as a Christmas Gift and I played and played to get those medals. My hearts a little busted up over this. Help.
