visa gift card - can use in paypal if you have a backup credit card?

Author Message darksweets13 Yahoo User Posted: Fri Jun 06, 2008 10:21 pm    Post subject: visa gift card - can use in paypal if you have a backup credit card? my daugther wants to purchase things on ebay - she resieved a visa gift card for her birthday. I am wondering since gift cards have problems with paypal, will it accept it if you have a back up credit card. i dont want her to purchase her stuff if it ends up charging my card by mistake thinking it was working- my credit card is its overflowed with bills. please dont say just let her use my credit card - i have my reasons why i dont. Linking your visa gift card to paypal is not assured. Your chances are 50/50. It all depends on whether paypal requires you to go through their extended verification process, which you cannot do with a bank issued gift card. Click on the link below to understand why.
