child support can only be stooped by a judge or when your son turns 18. go to court and file to get his tax returns until he is paid up, they take it from him so its not his choice to send it.

What makes you think you will get an informed answer here? We are all laymen here and all you will get is different people's opinions. If you want the hard facts (i.e. what the law says), you need to speak to an attorney.

Child support cannot be stopped (legally) without a judge's approval. Contact your lawyer and inform him of what your ex plans to do. He can't stop unless he is able to show that he is fincially incapable of supporting his son.In most states, they will take his driver's licence away untill he pays the minimum amount set by the judge.Don't listen to him.I would make him feel guilty for not wanting to support your son, but please, don't put oyur son in the middle or let him find out what's going on unitl he is older.

He can not stop support just because he wants to. He must still pay. Call or go by your state attorney general's office if you need more help here. They will help the best they can. It will be difficult to make him pay if he really isn't employed. What a jerk. Why is he taking this out on his son? He doesn't deserve to have kids.

this question cant be answered totally because it can or cant be stopped it would depend on the court but if he lives with you you definetly have to receive support now if hes away its the court decision but if you are sending your brother money to pay for him you should be collecting child support i wish i could answer this better but i really cant i hope your son is better and he feels betther

no your son is still in your custody even when he is visiting. Just cause he don't have job don't mean nothing. He may stop paying now but when he files income tax it will come to you, so if he want to be stupid. . . let him. . continue to do you and ask god to guide your son back on the right track.

If he dropped out of high school in may be okay to stop support in some courts. You need to talk to a lawyer about what your options are.

Let him try. report him for non payment. He has to pay until he finishes school. Get the kid back in school. He cannot stop support as his legal address is with you and you are the custodial parent. NO, don't bring your brother into it unless you have to.

This is simple, you dont need a lawyer, you will apear personally, as soon as you start the hearing the judge will probably ask what the problem is and you will explain that he hasnt paid child support and so on, regardless if your son is in your house, your brothers house, your mothers or anywhere else, he cant stop paying just because he wants to stop paying! If he wants to stop paying, he has to go to court and ask a judge to close his case but if he does not do this he has to continue with the payments until the judge says so...now I do understand that if your son is no longer in school or isnt planning on going back, he can probably get off the child support because he is no longger a minor, he can provide for himself as soon as he gets a job, but every state is different. you should be able to find that info on the web page for the state that you live in, look for the child support offices on the page. Good luck.
