What ever should I get my 14 year-old niece for Christmas? I know it's June but I NEED to know because I am going to be on a tight budget for this christmas and the economy, so.. I ask again What do I get my timid, creative and artsy niece?not books or an easel, but something REALLY unique

Some tool she can use in her art that she doesn't have already - cost unknowna tie-dye kit and several white t-shirts so she can have a small party with friends- about $30 for alla hair cut and style at a place nicer than her mom usually takes her - about $50?a gift cert. for a trendy clothing store - at least $50a jewelry making kit from a craft store, plus a few special beads or charms that you know she will like - about $25

Does she have an ipod or anything like that? Even quiet girls like music.

does she have a digital camera? I saw some cute ones on sale at Circuit City or Best Buy, this would be the time to get one, before the holiday rush.

I'd have to go with a quirky unique necklace. I love those! You could get one really cheap and give that to her along with a year's netflix subscription. That way you'd have one thing that she could use immediately and another gift that she'll be grateful for everytime she recieved a DVD in the mail. It's better than just giving her 1 movie for her collection. (I'm Fourteen, if that helps) Best of Luck!

I would also recommend a book, assuming that reading is her passion. I would go along the Anne of Green Gables line but I would recommend the new book by Budge Wilson called Before Green Gables. It tells the story of Anne Shirley's life before she goes to Prince Edward Island. You can find it at the link below.I have many Anne of Green Gables books for sale in my eBay store. They would be great for anyone wanting to start a collection as most of them are vintage or antique and almost all of them are somewhat hard-to-find. Unless you know that she would really appreciate collecting vintage books, I think the brand new story Before Green Gables which was just written and published is a great idea.Good Luck!
