Does it matter more to men or women if a their "other half" forgets, or doesn't even get them a gift for their birthday, or something else like Valentine's day?I have to agree with MisterO, I wouldn't put it in such terms but if she forgot to get me something I wouldn't make a big deal about it. Not like I'm going to hold that against her 5 years from now.

I'm sure it matters more to women, as we feel the need to be cared for more than guys.

Most guys don't even think about birthdays or valentines day so they probably wouldn't even notice that their girl forgot.

i'm female and it wouldn't matter to me if my "other half" got me a gift or not as long as i got to spend time with them on that special day

Ugh, I personally think the whole "gift exchanging"thing is kind of annoying. Why should anyone ina loving relationship feel obligated to buy their loved one something? Shouldn't their love be enough? It's just ridiculous and it causes a whole bunch ofunneccesary drama if it is forgotten.

It does matter big time. Occassions r special times n if u forget them then u r in big trouble or simply u r careless n no one appreciate it. Its not hard to remember anything. There r several ways to remind urself, diaries, alarms, notifications, alerts etc.

I think it depends, if a couple is loving and caring and constatnly awkmolageeing each other in everyday life then i doubt neither partners are that bothered about valentines day after all it is just a hallmark ocasion.....although personaly i do enjoy gettin a bunch of flowers!!.......My boyfriend always does little things to show he cares though so it woulnt be the end of the world if he didn acknolage it.I think where other couples are concerened i.e. busy parents long working hours not enough time to spend together then they may care more about the day as it is a time for just the 2 of them.I think birthdays should always be remembered by parthners its nice to do something special for that.
