I understand that your suppose to show your appreciation towards your mother and father, but if you think about it, arnt you suppose to show your appreciation everyday? I think its just another BS day so that we can have an excuse to go out and spend more money for the economy's sake. Dont get me wrong I Love my parents, but the fact that if you dont get them gifts on this day, its like you are left with this feeling of guilt or something. Idk just a word of thought I guess. Maybe I am just in one of those rebelious moods idk. I need a nap tho thats for sure.Presbyte you should go the extra mile everyday for your parents. Everyone thinks just b/c today is called Fathers day its special or something. Today is just like any other day.

pointless. you should appreciate your parents every day. or don't appreciate them. but be consistent.

thank you!some people "love" their parents 1 day out of 365/366, and the other 364/365 they forget they have parentsbut on this ONE DAY they wanna be the best daughter/sonmakes no sense

i think its good, of course i'm only 14 and its harder to "treat" my parents. i can cook them dinner once and awhile or something but thats pretty much a normal thing, and w/ m/d day its a day once a year that i can go that extra mile for my mom or dad.but also don't get me wrong, i love my parents sooooo much, i could seriously not survive w/out them.

thatsa good pointfather nd mothers day s one of the ony days when u forget about all the embrassing thing and look back at how funny thy were and hasn't it got something to do with history that kind of got twisted?

I think it's pointless, and so does the rest of my family, but still, every time those days roll around, we have a big dinner with all my brothers and sisters, and give my parents presents. I actually asked my dad what he wanted this year and he said, "nothing" He's so complicated

If you're using the "every day is special" argument then u can kinda rule out birthdays, valentines day and any other holiday .... lets face it, without mothers or fathers day we wouldnt do jack s*** for our parents ...we NEED the reminder ... wheres the harm in that?

I think Mothers Daya dn Fathers Day is Great holiday.My Mother and father care for me every day. They Deal with my issues, they Just simply love me. My parents deal with all the trouble i cause, This year it was nearly getting arrested.My Parents both helped out and saved my a** On getting sent to jail for 5 years. I think Mothers/fathers day is a day to pay them back what I owe them.

Ryan I kinda like those days, because it's weird at my house, my parents are nicer to me on those days than they are any other day.
