| As an Italian, I love fruitcake. It is a heavenly dessert for me. But everywhere I go, I constantly hear how people hate fruitcake. A poll showed that 50% of Americans claim fruitcake as their most dreaded Christmas gift. People say the candied fruit looks and tastes like rubber. They say the raisins look like mouse turds. I find that all these fruitcake haters have never actually tried it. They joke about passing it on to relatives they don't like. I need to hear from some serious fruitcake lovers out there. Please tell me I am not alone. Am I the only person on Earth who loves fruitcake? Whether you love fruitcake or not, tell me why. |

| i've had it...i dislike it.i know you like it, and i respect that. but as for me...people who know me realize that i really dislike fruitcake. the fruit in it...the cake itself..the texture and taste.....it's just nasty.so if they gave me one, my friends who know i hate fruitcake, it'd be a joke on me. i'd probably throw it at them with a smirk on my face.what's really nasty?mincemeat pie.tripe. *GAG* |

| Maybe I don´t have passion to fruitcake but I don´t find it repulsive either. Marzipan cake is my favourite, also chocolate cake can do well sometimes. |

| I've tried it, and I think it's gross. But I love fruitcake jokes... y'know, there's really only one fruitcake in the entire world, and people just keep regifting it to each other.After the nuclear holocaust, when it's just the roaches and fruitcake, the roaches will starve to death. |
