| it was bad luck to buy for that day before the baby is born. I AM A MOTHER!!!!!! Did you recieve a gift? Also have you ever heard of this nonsense. He said you dont even suppose to say it.i know im late with this one i forgot to ask lol |

| I didn't get anything either and when I asked my husband about it, he said our baby was my gift.. haha yea.. and I had the baby 2 days after Mother's Day.. |

| I was pregnant on mother's day and didn't know it. But I am also a "stepmom". I didn't get anything and it really hurt my feelings. My hubby is constantly telling me that I am "mom" to his other children. I mentioned it to him and he did go and get me a card but it wasn't the same. I felt as though I had to "ask" for something for Mother's day. |

| Im 34 weeks and for mothers day my boyfriend got me a card that was for a mommy to be and a necklace (him & my sis got that) that had a D on it with these little jewels. It was soo cute. The D stands for my unborn sons name. Ive never head of that before. |

| This is one of those issues where it matters more to some people than others. Obviously you and your husband weren't on the same page, and not everyone would automatically assume to buy a mother's day gift for someone who has not get given birth. I know there are many people who believe it is bad luck to buy things before the baby is born, so I think it's a reasonable explanation and you shouldn't be too terribly hard on him. You'll have plenty of real mother's days in years to come. Tell him your feelings are hurt, let him apologize, and then cut him some slack. Congrats in advance. |

| lol i heard it was bad luck too! but my hubby didnt mean to forget or anything, we just didnt have the money at the time, so i got up and made breakfast, he said the present was not burning the kitched down(he doesnt know how to even boil water) You cant do anything, but if he doesnt get you anything next mothers day, tell him whats on your mind, that he is suposed to get you something, just like i got my hubby something on fathers day.... your supposed to... |

| i am a mother already (13month) and i didn't get anything for mother's day. he told me that is the kids job to buy something for their mother and due to the fact that he is so young i have to wait till he gets older. yea i was angry however i got over it, why waste time arguing about presents and money that can be used for rent.... the weird thing is last year when i was pregnant he took me out to dinner and a movie however this year nothing....... hmm |

| I didn't get anything from my partner either but I was more annoyed that he didn't think to get me something from my son that I already have.I think it is a nice thought to get a card at least from the little bundle growing inside of us. I looked around for a card from the bump for father's day but I couldn't find anything so he had to make do with one from the dog instead !! |

| I did get gifts...there are cards for expectant mothers, and I got alot of baby stuff. I'd be pretty mad 2...pregnancy is alot of work and you deserve some recognition. Good luck |
