How do i stop hurting for my partner?

My partner has a stepmum who i believe to be emotionally abusive. She is a very stale woman.Her Dad openly acknowledges his wife's hate towards his daughter. When ever he comes to our house he says "Dont tell her I was here if you speak to her - or Ill be in trouble".My father is very sick over in Europe and we have to fly over to Paris to assist my family.. Her stepmother told the father my partner was a spoilt girl whom has everything handed to her on a plate, the father told my partner now she is completely guilt ridden. Every single work path or study path she chooses she intentionally discredits.She prevented her Dad from buying her a birthday present because she lives out of home and no longer needs gifts.As well as this her father hides any financial support he gives her to avoid upsetting his wife. I cant help but hurt for her - and I struggle every day as I have to helplessly watch this happen. She refuses to let me step in; how should i handle this?We're 20 yrs old.
