This might not be cute but the first time my baby got sick the doctor told me to use a vaporizer in her room and I didn't have one. A cheap one is around 12 bucks and you don't need a fancy one. Depending on your budget you could pair it with baby tylenol and baby mortrin and some vapo steam. I put a link to one at Wal-Mart below.I always give this gift to first time moms and I am always thanked bunches. Usually told they would have never thought of needing it.

A Bumbo. You can get it on Ebay or at bumboshop.com. I am a mother of 2 and I think it was the best present. I give it at every baby shower. It's a huge hit.

Does she have a registry if so look on there and try to get something that she wants. If she does not have one something that is good to get are a basket full of johnsons lavender soaps and body message. Here is the link for what I am talking about. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2647310Something else that is nice is the medicine kit. here is the link for that. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2404651A good grooming kit is always nice too.http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2437591http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2969578http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2969578Or you can get a cute basket with some safety products for around the house like outlet plugs, cabinet and drawer locks, oven blocker, night lights. Just about anything for safety that you think she would need. I hope this helps.

The book "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" available on just about every online bookstore. It's a lifesaver as far as helping a baby really be well rested. It's the best gift that I've gotten.

Hey! If you want to go simple, look to see what your cousin registered for. I ususally go with a theme... I like to use the theme of food! SO you buy the silverwear they requested, bibs, bottles, feeding assessories. That's not that expensive. Get whatever's in your price range. You could do bath time, or bedding, ... or whatever! Stick with a theme, and put it all in a beautiful basket with ribbons and stuff. Smile Good luck!

My favorite gift with both of my babies was a Memory Box. It's just a great place to put the child's immunization record, birth certificate, soc. sec. card, any little momentos... My 4 year old and I love to look through his box. It keeps everything all together also. They cost about $15.

The best gift that I got at my shower was def. the diapers. My baby is 9 weeks old now and I haven't had to buy diapers yet and that is a great feeling. It is something that she will always use. You can get her diapers, wipes, a&d ointment and the sented bags to throw the smelly diapers in. Good luck and congrats to her.

Give diapers! lol, you can never have enough of those. I would say to get them something useful, not so much gift- like always but something that their baby would like such as soft sounds, like baby eintein for the times when their baby cries and needs to get to a peaceful sleep. Also, comfy things, I would really look around babies r us. A good rocking chair that is comfy is awesome for those times when they cry. Try for something that would help them in the long run too, like clothes. get them a book from walmart in the baby section.. I think it is called the first year.. It was like a second bible for me, everything a new mom needs to know is in there.. she will definately want this and it will calm her fears if she is first time mom..trust me!

Check out Bella Tunno's range of Blinkers. They're the best thing I bought for my daughter and I'm buying them for all my friends who are having babies. Blinkers are dummie chains that are funky & fashionable, also safe unlike the ugly chains you can get at the supermarket. They can be purchased at thekidsstore.com.au or just google Bella Tunno.
