| When you're talking traditionally, first anniversary is paper. A modern gift would be a clock. But honestly, neither of those are romantic. |

| I think it depends on their commintments, my ex stepmom just passed her 1 year and since they don't have a lot of money I gave them gift cards for a nice restraunt and to the movies. I figured they needed to do something and they wouldn't have because of money. |
