| I am planning a baby shower for my sister and her husband. They are both very much into movies, music, etc. I thought the best theme would be "A Star is Born" and have guests bring their favorite childhood movies, music, books, etc. as gifts. My brother-in-law has an extensive collection of movies and music for his media room, but nothing with kids specifically in mind. This is their first child. I thought this might be a great way to tie their interests and having a child and make for a decent couples party, since most of their couple friends are the same way. I think I'm gonna nix any thoughts of games unless I can come up with something the men and women would both enjoy. Any ideas??? Food, decorations, games, etc.????? |

| I think that is a cool idea! I know I wish I had more kids movies than I do. I am trying to collect all the Disney DVDs now for when my son is older. You could decorate with some big feather boas, kind of old hollywood style. And sprinkle the table with star shaped confetti. |

| My aunt played "poopie diaper" (lol) at her daughters. take preemie diapers, squirt a little mustard in 5 diapers. (of 15-20 total) and have prizes for the people that get the "poopie diaper". It was very funny, but really quite cute! |

cut out cookies of stars, pink and blue, would be cuteplay pop the balloon, where everyone gets a balloon to pop, whoever finds the star winsguess the age is fun, have 10-15 photos of the mom to be and everyone guesses her age in each photoi wouldn't do more than two games for a couples shower, it just gets to be too muchbut a good idea for door prizes is to have a timer go off when the presents are being opened, if your present is being opened at the time you get a giftgood luck! remember everyone loves good food and drinks at a shower more than anything else! and also keeping a time frame in mind so people don't get bored.  |

| i think i would stay away from the games with both men and women present. or they can also bring blank tapes for the new parents to tape their new little star.,when it is born.Keep it all simple as possible. Now a days people can purchase stars on-line and name them.That is something to think about. |
