I'm invited to my boyfriend's dad's second wedding in august. It's an outdoor wedding at his dad's house and low key semi-formal. What gifts can I get? What would be the gift price range (I'm still in college)? Or what gift categories are appropriate considering they already live together and have appliances etc.?

I would get them a nice card with a gift card to someplace nice for them to have dinner.

how about one of those fruit boquets for a few days before the wedding.....they'll probably be having guests over and it could be a nice for everyone to nibble on....if I was in college, I'd spend about 25 dollars on this gift, but that depends on where you live probably (I live in VA and SC). Although if you could go in with your bf you could probably spend 100 dollars and get them something for their yard or some kind of plant/tree?

The two of you could go together and get them a really nice dinner out, a pair of baseball or football tickets, a spa day or something else that they will enjoy together and remember. Don't worry about the "stuff" gifts, think along the line of "experience" gifts. Pool your resoucres and funds and make a memorable day for them. Good luck!

Depending on the age of the person and their financial status. But, seeing as you are going as the guest of your boyfriend. Buy him a good bottle of wine and gift wrap/box it very tastefully.

I would say a $50 gift is fine. I wouldn't get them anything for the house since they've probably already got what they need. Maybe a gift card to a nice restaurant?

You should probably give something from you and your boyfriend, which may expand your budget a bit. Also, your boyfriend will be able to suggest something that is a bit more personal too.Since it's your boyfriend's dad it almost seems unnecessary to get him an additional gift from just you.

Love the idea of a gift certificate for a nice dinner. If that's to much money, what about a beautiful frame? Nice vase, coffee table book about something they enjoy, something to add to a collection they have, etc.
