| My boyfriend and I have been kicking around the M-word a lot more recently, and we were wondering about wedding gifts ... This will be my second (and final I hope LOL) marriage. He and I both own our own homes, so we don't need any kind of household items at all. Really, money or gift cards would be the best gifts for us, but I'm the kind of person who hates asking for things ... so any advice? Thanks! |

| Have your family and bridal party spread the word that you'd rather have money than gifts.Register for only a few things and for gift cards (most registries have this option) then people will have less of a choice and be more inclined to give you money & gift cards. |

| Suggest that anybody who has a compulsion to shed cash before turning up to your wedding directs the money to a charity. We used Medicins Sans Frontiere. |

| Nice handmade portraits or paintings made from photos are always a good gift idea. You can find more such ideas at http://www.paintyourlife.com. They make all types of personalized and unique portraits on oil, pencil, charcoal or on canvas. The same company also makes wonderful photo prints on canvas in various designs. | Suggest that your guests donate to a charity - the one the other answerer said is a good one, or towards cancer research, etc. |
